The Insensitive Indian

Corruption has its Intangible roots People talk of tackling/fighting corruption, only to find themselves engulfed in it that it has become an inevitable part of the system. Media always talk about corruption being so rampant in the society that people always give it positive thumbs up. This is a small, stupid incident with which I have to live up with during the last four years my college life. During my college, there was a provision for students belonging to SC, ST, OBC to avail a scholarship. The scholarship can go as high as Rs.350000/- per annum while the fee for a year was variable from 38000 to 43000. The only eligibility for the scholarship was that the student should belong to an SC ,ST, OBC( non creamy layer) with an annual family income as less as 50000. The great Indian political league Politics is one dimension of an ordinary Indian which is the most insensitive one. Whether it is attack on the country or a defeat in the cricket field, we find politics in everything, every sphere. From Mamta di taking political mileage of KKR’s victory in IPL and stealing the limelight turning it into a subject of Bengal’s pride as opposed to that of a club’s which doesn’t have anything to do with Bengal. Of all the recent political activities, one which baffled me the most is the controversy around Shankar’s Dr. Ambedkar Cartoon. When we look at the whole development, we find it rather ridiculous. The annoying experience at the hospital         This was a hell bit of experience for me. Perhaps this incident was the one which inspired/persuaded me to write my experiences of insensitivity. This is a 6 months old incidence. My brother was feeling ill, with temperature, flu, headache and all sorts of seasonal problems, also backache and pain in limbs, there were signs of dengue or chickengunia. The pain was so intense that he was neither able to sit upright nor walk. I took an appointment of a renowned doctor in a renowned hospital and went up there. As we moved in, we found the hospital to be overcrowded like a market place. Almost every doctor had a waiting of 20-25 patients. I seated my brother at one of the waiting areas and reported at the reception.
